Yes! And I'll admit it's not the most comfortable thing in the world but it works - Spanx. That's the only thing I would recommend for tummy flattening or doing anything else to help hold in a few extra inches :) I got one before I got married a few months ago to wear under the dress I wore to my bridal shower and rehearsal dinner. It makes everything more smooth, but the one I got wound up coming up very high on my stomach. So much so that I wanted to roll it down, but then that would have created an unsightly bulge. The other thing that made me self-conscience about it was that when family or friends hugged me I was worried they could feel the band around my waist. I don't know if they could have or not, but that would have been embarrassing to me. If you can order or buy a bunch online and then try them on in the privacy of your own home, you can find the one that's most comfortable to you.

Spanx and Assets and similar undergarments will smooth out lumps and folds in body (e.g., smooths a tummy pooch or lifts a saggy rear), but they won't flatten or shape your body. Also, be aware that Spanx have a seam down the middle of the front and back. If you have a fitted or lycra blouse or dress, the seam will be visible.

Yes I have a couple. Mostly they smooth out place that bulge in certian clothes. For instance, I have a dress I look fantastic in but my hips are exagrated because of the cut so I wear a garment that reduces them a little and smoothes the line between my midsection and my hip.

I own one that works mircale but I payed $75 for it and it's not confortable, I only use it for extreme emerengy's (wedding that I learn about with only a couple of days. If I have time I would rather loose 15 lbs than put it on!

Your best bet for a mirical worker is to go to Dillard's and tell them what you are looking for and tell them you don't care about confort or cost. However if you need only a little shape holding K-mart or Walmart products work just as will as anything.

Good Luck

Spanx & similar undergarments do help smooth out curves so a dress or skirt will lie smoothly. It will help hide a small tummy pooch but not a belly.

I wore a bf's briefs on a dare. I am still waiting for some strange disease as a result and this was 20 years ago.

Well, they won't hide everything but they do work to some extent. I wore one for my wedding.
