Which of these is better for a new baby? Do you Mamas think they are almost the same thing? I have heard rave reviews for both, but certainly dont need both!

I got the Graco swing n bounce. It's a vibrating bouncy chair and a swing. My 13 day old absolutely loves it. It's extremely easy to use, you just pick up the bouncy chair and slip it into the swing holder. Plus, you can use the vibrating feature while you use the swing, which my son loves. The price is also great since you don't have to buy a swing and a bouncer separately. They have it at Target, but amazon.com should also have it and you get free shipping for it.

We got one with the fibrator- and our baby hated the thing! So, we never used it. She didn't like anything that vibrated from the pack n play one to the seat. So...I would go without. When our son was born 10 years ago, we didn't have any of those things and got along just fine.

By the way- dad's it is so great to see you guys answering questions!!!

We removed the battery pack and left it be.

It depends on the kid. My first one hated the vibration. I would go with the non vibrating. They are cheaper, and I think they like the bounce better than the vibration. They will throw themselves around in that thing to make it bounce and laugh their little butts off. Both of mine like the bounce. The swing was even more popular though. Good luck.

I know I'm not a mom, but I am a dad, and I stay home with the kids, so just the same right?

Both of those are pretty pricey! If you are determined to buy one of those specifically, then get whichever one vibrates. I bought a much cheaper bouncy seat ($25.00) from Target that vibrated and both of my boys loved it as infants. When they get a little older they do tend to prefer the swing.

I preferred the ones that are battery operated. The vibrate option can soothe them, if they like that, but i really liked the gentle music ours played, and the baby like the bubbling, lights, and moving fish.

my boys prefered the battery operated vibrating seats. When they were in the ones that didn't vibrate they had to have toys and that didn't even work when they were really small. The vibrations really seemed to help them.

This is a very delicate situation. I suggest out-fitting your granny's scooter with a remote control and gps system. This way, you can control where she goes and what she does from the comfort of your own front porch. Miss Betty's flowers will be safe, and you can steer granny clear of the ditches and liquor stores.

Neither. If you want a chair, use the carrier. If you want a vibrating chair, get a swing. They like those better anyway.

The baby papason chair looks like it would be more stable and the baby would be better supported.
