on what? a car, truck, moped? it all depends on what the hehicle is. Horse power is a measure of work not speed. you can have tons of horse power and no torque so that would not help either.

Who knows. It all depends on how they are geared. One can be geared for more power and one can be geared for more speed. The bigger the engine, the more torque it will have and should perform better than the smaller engine. The 6.5 should be more than enough for a go-cart. figure out the top rpm of the motor and then divide that by the gear ratio to get the top axle speed. Take the circumference of the tire and multiply that by the number of axle revolutions per minute and you will get the distance you travel in a minute. Multiply that by 60 and take the result and divide by 5280 and you will get the top mph for the cart. This may not be exact, but it will give you an idea of how the gearing can and will affect the speed of the cart.

good luck with it.

One of the first places to start would be the Acura Dealer themselves. they have a performance catalog that you can get that will list all the available performance parts for the motor you have. from there I would pick up some of the Honda Magazines (If you where not aware Acura is the high end Honda) They have tons of ads for performance shops. You may also want to check out summit racing and see what they have (Honestly they are not my first choice. I have had a number of bad experiences with them) Or you can check out 2k Racing. these should be some good places to get you started.

Driving/moving what load, with what gearing? A skateboard, a small boat, a power saw, the U.S.S. Nimitz?

Horsepower <> speed.

Im not sure what uare asking but I can tell you this tha a stock 1989 Z24 has about 130-140HP at umm I think 4500 RPM and about 145-150lb torque at 4500 RPM. More torque than power. I found that pretty cool.

They're both faster than 5.0 horse power.

Horsepower is a measure of work, not a measure of speed. Think about what you're trying to ask and try again.
