The best time anywhere in the world (including Southern California) is about an hour before first light Monday morning. That is the part of the Earth facing most directly into the meteor stream.

It will begin as soon as it gets dark... in the northeastern sky... but the best viewing time is between 2 and 3 am. Find a nice dark spot with no city lights (Fraiser Park has a nice field up in the valley) and enjoy!
