Linksys wireless internet password?

I have a linksys wireless internet modem and I want to know how to make a password to access it. I have an ibook g4. how do I do it?

The answer above does indeed tell you how to change the ADMIN password for your linksys... However, if you want a wireless password you need to login to the router and set a WIRELESS PASSWORD and Wireless security!

Open a web browser, type http://192.168.1.1 for the routers address, it should prompt for your username and password.
(that is the ADMINISTRATIVE password and Username)
The default for linksys is NO username and "admin" for the password. Providing you haven't changed it.

Once logged into the router, click on the WIRELESS settings tab. Click on the security button and tell it to use WEP ( I would tell you to use WPA but WPA seems to not work too well with IBooks for some reason -- you should try it, if it works use IT!)

Once that is entered you can enter a password for the wireless.

Click apply and go to your laptop. Connect wirelessly, it should then prompt you for your password just enter whatever you entered on the router setup.

Please note.. you may have to use a cable to set this up. Then disconnect the cable and connect wirelessly using your password!

Launch your web browser and enter 192.168.1.1 in the URL bar.
Enter the name and password if you have entered them or just leave User blank and in Password enter admin.
In the Administartion tab > Management enter the password you want to use to access the Linksys.

Try to access your router by 192.168.1.1, You will get a panel to access your router. You can setup router from there.
