ahh this was my first bike 6 years ago... i know every thing about this bike.

ok look theirs 5 gears and nutral

u MUST pull the clutch in before switching gears. if u don't they u will grind the clutch basket to pieces and it gonna cost around 1.2k to fix.

no pull the clutch all the way to the handle bars (u must do this everytime) then click the gear shifter all the way down until it doesn't move anymore. this is 1st gear

now getting it into nutral from hear is very difficult. nutural is half way between 1st and 2nd.

when the bike is in 1st pull the clutch in and pull ur foot up very lightly until u hear a little click, when u do see if u can walk the bike back and forth with out useing the clutch...if u can, then u have put it in nutural.

from nutural u can then start the bike.

when u start the bike pull the clutch in and kick it down into 1st gear. 1st gear is to be ONLY used as a gear to start off in and to NEVER be used on the track.

then u accellerate, when u feel the bike reving out or if u have a stick shift car, when ur rev needle red lines u will feel this in the bike, thats when u pull the clutch in and click upwards to second gear.

when second gear rev lines pull in the clutch and click upwards to third.

re-peat through 5th gear

1st gear
-------------------------nutural (half way between 1st and second gear)
2nd gear
3rd gear
4th gear
5th gear

note the bike will not start in gear, it must be in nutural other wise it will not kick over. always start this bike in nurtal and start off in first gear, then work ur way up to 5th gear from their

Standard shift pattern for bikes is 1 down, 4 up. Step once for first, toe up for second, toe up again for third etc...

So I don't have to re-type the answer,
