But the constitution did only allow land owners to vote at one point, I thought. Also did not allow women or black people to vote at one time so it can be changed to add illegal immigrants can't it?

Elway_the_Cat Barack O'bama voted to make it legal for a doctor to willfully allow a child born alive to die without medical attention if the child survived a failed abortion. If a child is born alive the child will be killed at live birth. And you think I'm delusional for thinking illegal immigrants will be allowed to vote? There is no line that politicians will not cross.

Uh... they're trespassing? Committing a felony? They have no business being here in the first place?

Because not only aren't they Americans, they are criminals for being here in this country illegally. They have no right to vote here for any reason. If they want to affect politics they need to go back where they came from and fix their own damn country.

EDIT: You think we would amend our Constitution so illegals can be included in the voting process? Delusional much?

Its like having the rest of the world decide what goes on in my country. I should not be ruled by foreigners.

Yea, the constitution could theoretically be change to allow foreign nationals the right to vote, but it would NEVER be approved by the majority of US people needed to pass the amendment.

CITIZENS can vote. Illegals cannot. In fact, even LEGAL resident aliens cannot.

Since illegals DON'T vote, you must be trolling to get a rise out of the illegal-bashing crowd.

Whoa! Next, you will want convicts to have the right to vote, people in insane asylums, why not every one in the world?
As the old saying goes, with friends like you, who needs enemies?

why would an illegal immigrant have any say / right to make choices for who we elect. if this was the case, we could have a mass of terrorists come here and show up to vote and put a terrorist into office.

wait ... we already have one .... lol / sorry a blonde moment :-)

I really can't add anything to what the people above me have already said. They made very legitimate and valid points. I hope you think about what they all said.

I would focus on one word in your question, illegal. If they want to vote, become citizens.

For the same reason people get mad about criminals committing crimes and being let loose to do it again.

Because the constitution doesn't allow it.
