Male Character: Sonny & Jason --- need I say more?? They both are great actors, and their dialouge is right on. I like how they look out for each other, and have each others backs. Not to mention, Sonny's dimples, and Jason's eyes!
Female Character: Robin Scorpio - I love her character. Kim does a great job portraying Robin. I love the message that GH is sending out and trying to educate people about HIV through Robin's character.

My favorite was always Lila Quartermaine. She had a wonderful sense of humor which she definitely needed to deal with her family. She was the one person who the whole family would listen to and the only person who could keep Edward in line.
Plus she was always able to know which people to trust even when the others didn't. She always had a soft spot for Sonny & Luke. Almost anyone in Port Charles would have done anything the lady asked.
Also, Anna Lee, her portrayer, was a talented lady. I'm sure she must have been one of the first actresses to act while in a wheelchair as well as doing it for the longest time period , always doing it with style and grace. R.I.P. Anna

Male Character: Jason (Steve Burton). He is a great actor and I like the strong, dark type. He protects what he loves and although he has suffered great losses throughout the years, he still manages to bounce back. And I love his strictly platonic relationship with Carly.
Female Character: Robin Scorpio (Kimberly Mccollough). She's a good actor who has a lot of history with GH. Also, she is strong and stable. I think that she is a good character because she is more than just fictional. The fact that she is HIV+ is good because the show is educating people about HIV through Robin.

Luke: Without Luke Spencer General Hospital would have been canceled back in the 70's (it was on the verge) and Soap Operas would never be the same. Tony Geary redefined the male lead in Soaps and gave us the "Anti-Hero" paving the way for Jason, Sonny and the rest. He also proved that good looks are not necessary for a lead character.
Anna would be my favorite female. Another unconventional character that adds so much to the back ground of the show, and no matter how old she gets (and she is not that old) Finola Hughes is still far and away the best looking woman on soaps

I completely agree with u about Jason and Sonny They are awesome. They play their part's well. I hope they set Jason free. and let him get on with his life this would be a tremendous loss for the show if they don't. The show would never be the same if either of these actor's left.
My fave female I would have to say I do like Robin real well but I think i would have to choose Carly. I love the way she is alway's there for Jason when he is in trouble.

I don't watch the show as much now... but I would definitely say Sonny - great character and Maurice Bernard is a terrific actor. I was also a huge fan of Lucky... but as portrayed by Jonathan Jackson. I still don't think anyone has been able to touch his portrayal of the character.
I always loved Amber Tamblyn as Emily. And I agree... Robin Scorpio is a great character. I think they have given her great relationships on the show as well.

Male Character: I agree with u..Sonny and Jason are great, it makes it interesting when their together..And Jason now with the long hair..wow he looks better than before, i'm not saying he never looked good, he always does, it's just that i like the new Jason.
Female Character: Sky, she is a fighter and i love her attitude, i just hope she pushes ric in the face..that guy is sooo annoying.

Robert and Sean - They were a heck of a team on the show during their time. I loved watching them and their work with the 'wsb'. Too bad they didn't bring back the 'Sean' character when 'Robert' came back. That would have been cool.
My favorite characters now are Jason and Spinelli. I love their scenes together. Also Spinelli's scenes with Sonny. They are HILARIOUS!
