Read over the programs your reading again.

I bet that one of them is a diploma program preparing students to become an LPN/LVN. It should last about a year.

The associates would be a program that prepares LPNs to become RNs and would last a year or so. It would require that you are already an LPN when you enter and are upgrading your certification to RN.

If it is an associates degree for you to initially become an LPN - I can think of no good reason not to become an RN in the same amount of time.

You should do an RN associates degree program. If you become an LPN and later decide to become an rn, most colleges do not credit your lpn nursing classes. If you are going to put the time and the energy in you may as well get the rn. You'll have more employment opportunities and make more money for basically the same work. Nursing is for the strong of mind, body and heart. Good luck!!!

i think it actual relies upon on the place you artwork, and how plenty adventure you have. it may desire to be the comparable the 1st year at an LPN's max (in accordance with which state you reside in). I stay in CT and this situation basically holds authentic to RN's in LTC, or assisted residing centers. They make a pair of dollars extra advantageous than their LPN's in LTC.

I would talk to your counselor. They will advise the best route for you to take. I would go for the Associates of Science, that way you can fast track to getting your RN.
