If you don't want to take lessons, then you need to find a friend or relative that knows how to dance to teach you. I also heard that there are books and videos that can help you.

Sure you can. Invite some friends over for some dance lessons. Get some of the music the dance team uses and try to do the steps they do. Maybe you can make a friend who is already on the team to come over to help you. Then dance all the time. Dance while you run the vacuum, while you dust, as much as you can. You also need to stretch a lot. Also walk or run a lot. A big part of dancing is endurance. Pax - C

I think you should go to a dancing school so you can learn how to dance for next year.

no affence, but if your going to try out for a team in a year you need a class. I take dance and have for years. Dance is not the easiest thing. Its not super hard but first, to make the team, your going to need to know steps that a class can teach you. and second, when your on the team, there just gunna be saying, "i want a lindy blah blha blha" and expect you to know these things... without classes, its gunna be hard to know the steps and be able to stay with the calss.

now that's a big problem. u can ask your friends who know how 2 dance 2 teach u. also go 2 the library or someplace that has videos and books and get them over dancing and watch music videos. also search things on the computer. u might find something.

i like the music "Earthquake" by utilising The Used. The refrain is fairly dramatic, which would be good. It fairly relies upon what your sort of dance is. in case you're extra into something sluggish and beautiful, "Bulls in Brooklyn" by utilising The Academy Is...is large for that. if your dancing is extra of a jazz sort, Panic! on the Disco has some songs that are large for that on their first album (A Fever you may not Sweat Out.) P!ATD could be the main exciting.

I would really suggest getting lessons. Otherwise, take dance PE at your school and watch dance videos...it's the best you can do.
