well not usually but if its low add some. but i would look for a bent part underneath

If it will turn right but not left that indicates a failure in the rack and pinion, not in the pump or tie rod ends.

If you are low enough to hear a whining noise when turning the wheel then yes. However if there is no noise when trying to turn, then you have more serious problems to look into.

I really doubt it, I think you have a bigger problem than that, take it to the garage and get it checked out.

sounds like a tie rod or a ball joint or something, id get it checked out
