Your car need a carburetor cleaning , a good one but before you do it, why don't you purchase a fuel filter , it cost about $3.50 and easy to change. It is located on your fuel line , When you will have purchased a new , the old on is very easy to localized , AND.....you can change yourself , one piece of cake !!!!! This is probably the only thing that your car need , if that doesn't work, go for the carburetor cleaning ,ask for help , don't ask anybody to fix the problem , ASK FOR A CARBURETOR CLEANING, This way no surprise , you'll know the cost in advance O/K? Your car need nothing else..

Check the alternator, are you running the ac? Might also be the belt for the alternator, really cheap and easy to fix. Would say try to remove the battery cables for a few minutes. Might even want to try a fuel filter and to run some fuel cleaner.

the throttle plate may need to be cleaned, carbon buildup on the plate and bore can choke an engine. use carb cleaner and a toothbrush or rag to clean it.
Idle Air Control valve could be stuck closed.
the Throttle Position Sensor maybe bad.
Mass Air Flow sensor could be bad
