friday night at midnight I saw an incrediable sight. A fireballl in the sky it looked like hollywood special effects. I could see the rock form rolling as it fell with fire around it, not a flash but the actual red yellow blue flames it appeared to be the size of a small car and about as high up as you would see a hellocopter following a police pursuit. It was about a quarter to a half a mile away and it impacted behind a small hillside and allthough I stopped car I did not hear an impact nor see a fire but not much to burn as it is desert. This was the most incredile thing I have ever seen no natural wonder could come closeI to the feeling the amazement the awe of what I saw. I live in the desert and see many "shooting stars" they do not come close to this. What I would like to know is how rare is this, I want more is this as I think it is equivilent to winning the lottery or just a matter of watching a few nights during the current meteor shower.

You have seen a metal meteorite big enough to reach the ground which is quite rare indeed! Many collect those meteorite and could fetch a very good price for those! If you go back there and find the metal meteorite, you could sell it by the kg at very good price, depending on the type you recover! I know a guy that collect those from around the world, and I am sure he would like this one!! ;)

Well, most meteors travel across the sky in the blink of an eye. Some do not make it all the way across the sky. You will never see flames as such, because the meteors are traveling at simply incredible speeds. A white trail will follow each one of them.

Size of meteors varies from pebble size to small rock size and almost all of them are made of dusty ice materials.

If you saw something the size of a car, gosh knows what it was. Maybe over excitement or something.

It is so rare that you didn't see it either. If something like that had happened, it would have done damage on a continental scale, and I suspect those of us who were left would have heard it on the news.

So you missed your medication time again. Go back to your room and the nice doctor will bring you an extra shot. Then you will feel better, and the flaming rocks will stop bothering you.
