If he was white he would never have received the support he has already received. He would have never ran for President because no one would have ever heard of him (outside of Illinois).
I do not find Obama to be the best man for the job at all...in fact I would place him in the position of being one of the worst. If he does win the Dem nomination a large part of the reason will be because he is black and not the other way around.

I don't think his race is what's holding him back at all. I can't think of many Democrats who wouldn't vote for him because he's not white. I know people who plan to vote for Clinton SOLELY based on the fact that she's a woman. I'm sure there will be people voting for Obama SOLELY based on the fact that he's black.
If Obama were running in the Republican party (as a white dude), he wouldn't be leading in the polls. His views don't align with the party.
I DO think you may have something about his name. It's not very American sounding, and I think that might be a hindrance for some voters. However, I think his political views would be more of a hindrance. He seems like a really nice dude, but politically, I don't think he's the right choice.

I don't think at this point it is about race, I think the democratic party and the media have chosen to back Hillary and that's why she gets so much more exposure and and flattering coverage. They nit pick Obama to death and take his statements out of context. I do believe he is the right man for the job and I really hope the party sees that and nominates him. The only way that can happen is for people to get out there and support him and volunteer to help get the word out that's what we want. Maybe, just maybe if they see his popularity grow in the polls they will get behind him.

I see it the other way around
John Edwards to me is the right man for the job but has the distinct disadvantage of not being black or a woman. The democratic party may very well pick a candidate that goes against the grain of past elections (WASP) and go for either Hillary or Obama because they are white males. As a democrat, I hope the party looks deeper than skin tone because John Edwards really knows what he's talking about and it would be a shame for him not to get nominated just because he's not a woman named Clinton or a black man

I believe that Barack Obama is the exact person to be the
next President of these United
States.
I believe you are wrong to
believe that Americans still
see color. This is absolutely
not true and is only fostered by white supremists of the
South. Even the folks in the
Southern states love Obama.
He's a done deal!!!
Hillary is trying, but I would sooner believe that Americans
are more afraid of a Beltway
arrogant woman than of color.

I do think you have a point about his race ... there are some in both parties who just aren't ready to vote a non-white male. But, I think his biggest issue is lack of experience. Another issue, is that he really hasn't communicated well where he stands on the issues. No matter how much people might dislike Hillary, we pretty much know where she stands.

Obama is too inexperienced to have the top job of the United states of America. This is not home room of such stupid high school. You can play the race card all you want, but I would guarantee Colin Powell would not have that issue. Are you supporting him only because he is black? I haven't seen or heard anything from him that would give me an ounce of confidence that he could do the job. I think you are the racist one here.

Barak Obama sounds better than Eric whatever his name is. He is not going to fail because he's black either. Bill Clinton was considered a so called black president for reasons I don't know why.

If Obama was white he probably would not attend a "church" where the preacher is a racist who hates whites. If Obama was white he probably would not have attended a Madrasa (muslim terrorist school for) for years.
Ii Obama was white, he would not get most of the media attention that he is now getting and that has allowed him to achieve the illusion of competence that he now enjoys.
You say Obama will fail because he is not a "White male", yet neither is Hillary.
You are a racist who hates whites, and this question you ask clearly demonstrates the depth of your racial hatred.

Barrack is getting votes because he IS black. But he isnt the right man for the job. Have you noticed he DOESNT ANSWER QUESTIONS. instead makes up his own questions and answers them. doesnt wanna rock the boat, doesnt wanna lose any votes. cmon, what smart corrupt politician wouldnt do that?
Vote for experience, a man with toughness, wont take crap, and strong leadership qualities.
I kinda used to like Obama until i finally saw the light, compared Obama to Gravel, now i love Mike
