i think it moreso depends on how you say it. some people could say it all together like one syllable others could break it down to do-yle

I agree with those who say it depends on how you say it. Doyle rhymes with boil, toil, etc. I think standard English would say these should have one syllable, but many people pronounce all of them with two, usually by inserting a "y" consonant sound between syllables, like DOI-yul.

I'm assuming you want to know what a lot of people do rather than what people "should" do. I'm not about to tell someone whose name is DOI-yul that he is pronouncing his own name wrong. It's HIS name, after all, not mine.

l syllable. Doyle is a one-syllable word. Say it slowly. Only 1 syllable!!!

Though I've heard multiple ways of saying it (both with one, and two syllables), I would most commonly hear two:

"Doy-al"

I can't imagine how you'd pronounce it to make it more than one.
