I was in the train station and
1) Someone tried to push me towards the tracks
2) Called me a terrorist and told me to go back to my 'country' (I think he was assuming i'm Arab)
3) He followed me into the train
4) Sat next to me and told me why he hates Muslim and we deserve to be killed.
Then he said, Ive been following you and talking to you, why aren't you replying? Are you scared? Can't speak english?
One of my majors in college is English, and I spoke back to him with some words I think he might have needed a dictionary for. I told him I don't bother myself with ignorance and Islam teaches me to ignore foolishness. He than cursed me out and got off on the next station. Everyone was staring at me till I got off, and when I was leaving someone shouted.
"You go girl!" lol.. I felt pretty nice at this point.
Incident #2, someone threw a bagel at me during Ramadan last year, I walked away. He followed me but some Muslim brothers asked me what happened, and the chicken ran away :)
(((hugs)))

As a black woman that have light skin and light eyes, I have heard too many to count over my 30+ years. So I will have to pick the one that I reacted worst to. Myself and another white girl got in to an argument then went on and off for almost a week. I was in high school at the time. She ultimately called me a n- word. Needless to say, I slapped her a few times and we got into an altercation. When we were pulled apart, I waited until she had started to walk away and thought everything was over, and I grabbbed her by the hair and neck and threw her to the floor and began to choke her. I regret it, I think that it could have been handled better, but I was young and stupid.
Now that I am older and hopefully wiser. I would never repeat the same thing again. I have also became desensitized to racial slurs, they mean very little. They only serve to make some people look ignorant. All these stereotypes and racial slurs on here do not phase me at all. I always say that there is only one thing that can get under my skin, and the rantings of people on here is not it.

While this is not the most hateful thing someone could say to me, it still offended me very much.
I am an Anthro major hoping to go into forensics or something along those lines and when I went to the Forensic Anthropology advisor to ask him what would be a good minor for me, he preceeded to tell me and I quote, "If you don't become an Anthropologist, don't blame anyone for your problems. It is only your fault if you don't have the highest GPA that you need." Keep in mind that he did not even know my GPA and although I don't play the race card, he assumed that because I'm black that I would blame someone if being an Anthropologist didn't work out. And then he told me I was articulate. I hate that word as it is normally used with minorities.

I have too many stories...but I will tell you one that has nothing to do with me being Muslim--it was before I was Muslim...
I went to this restaurant in town to get take-out (a year after high school graduation) and the guy working the desk had gone to high school with me so we were catching up and he started to complain about his manager/owner of the restaurant...and then he said. Well, he's Greek and you know how all Greek ppl are A**holes...and then he caught himself as I was smiling. He just had an aha moment and remembered I was Greek. He tried to mumble an apology but I just spoke over him saying it's not a big deal, I know how managers can be.

I have had someone spit in my face over Pearl Harbor.
I was only 14, I was so embarrased and ashamed....I cried my eyes out. I do deal with alot of crap from people who hate the Japanese. I am more poised to deal with such things now. I still would not have been violent though. You have to show them it doesn't hurt you when they treat you like you aren't as American as they are. Or it empowers them.

I am Creole and darn proud of it. Because of the environment I live in, the majority of my friends are white and so have my bf's been. I don't really see it as a race thing, but some people do. Here are just a couple of things that have happened:
1) It was my friend's bday who I don't get to hang out with that much because of the different work schedules. I decided to be her driver to take her to the club. I had on a white lace halter and a pair of jeans, you know, simple. I walked in and a friend of ours surprised us by taking a trip for this one night from Ocean City. Right when I was about to give her a hug, this white girl (who we didn't know) said to her friend, "look at the black girl that just walked in." Her friend looked at me, rolled her eyes and just said, "whatever." Then, by the bar we were taking shots and these girls kept bumping into me the entire night on purpose because one of the guys they were with was singing this song about sleeping with someone and he started pointing to me.. it was a 50 cent song.
2) One of my closest friends is REALLY cute. He has green eyes and dark hair. But, we always have ignorant people react to us when we go out. They assume we are together and will stare at us the entire time. This one time in particular, we went to this pool hall in Annapolis and these girls could not stop staring and whispering for like an hour. We started feeling a little uncomfortable so we left. We then went to this club in Pasadena, MD where this group of white girls noticed me talking to him and saw this other guy wink at me by the bar, proceeded to take a picture of my butt, then followed us around the club for the rest of the night.
3) Being called an Uncle Tom by some black people because I don't use slang and because most of the guys I have dated were white. It's not by choice because I'm not the kind of person that will walk up to a guy and ask him out.. I'm too shy. I don't use slang because I think it's stupid. I don't even curse unless I'm REALLY angry.
4) My next door neighbor said his kids were working on an art project for Kwanza.. when in fact he put the doll on his porch to resemble a porch monkey. Not growing up around racists, I had no idea of the meaning and I didn't even know that it was racist until one of my seven room mates (at the time) explained it to me. The guy ended up moving about six months later. It was funny though because the people I lived with were the following: I'm Creole, the owner was Palistenian and Irish, her fiancee was Cuban, the owner's BFF was German, the Bff's bf was black, my bf was Irish and German, the other roomie was 100% Irish and the guy that stayed in the room next to mine was Italian.
In all of these situations, it has affected me but not to a breaking point. I am saddended by the fact that something so stupid will bring such a negative reaction. I would understand the hate if I burned my name in flaming poop on your lawn, then you can hate me. But don't hate me because you were raised with ignorance.

I've been called a cracker a few times. I really didn't care. I've been called worst. The only people that can hurt me are the people I care about.

im 3/4 jap a million/4 ecu yet my ecu good factors are fairly obvious. i grew to become into born and raised in japan, and went on substitute to new zealand throughout severe college. there, i gained comments from chinese language human beings (who have been all wannabe-jap) like 'how are you able to call your self jap, you have a face of a white woman' or 'i wager youre not even jap, youre in basic terms a dumb white woman who desires to sound extra interesting'. i didnt realize it grew to become into racism till i attempted to classify their insults. theyre discriminating against me because of the fact im jap and that they choose they have been. they could say stuff like that to me on a daily foundation and it went on for over a 365 days.

When I Worked at publixs as a bagger, this lady came by and I was going to bag her grocery but she almost screamed Don't touch my groceries no Mexican ( I look like I am from Maxcian) is touching my groceries! I was like ok why don't you bag them your self. No one even helped her. I mean every one at publix love me. The manager was standing near by even he did not help bag her groceries or take them out. it felt good that people had my back! They banned her from the store for screaming at a employee
