I always think people who love slapping a "support the troops" sticker on their car and calling people "defeatacrats" after listening to Michael Savage will be the first ones trying to figure out how to escape to Canada or beat the draft when their card is pulled.
Just like Bush, Clinton, Limbaugh and all these NeoCons pushing WWIII, there will be a new generation of draft dodgers and I think a lot of war cheerleaders are going to be eating a nice steaming plate of crow in the end.
What do you think?

I think you do not have a clue! the reason you can spout your sh*it is because somebody paid for your time with BLOOD in a past war.that is how freedom works.you get to enjoy the benefits by being stupid and reaping the benefits of a past generation.I think/ hope very soon that the dems pass a draft and you have the privilege/ opportunity to have your sorry a*ss in combat.

Hhhmmmm - the draft --- yes, this will definately come about if Ron Paul does NOT win the election so we should all be prepared for that.
Escaping to canada - that is always a possibility - but I seriously doubt people will try to escape just to get out of the draft - I believe that if the war is just people will be more then willing to be drafted or volunteer - its the UNJUST wars that people will be running from
war cheerleaders will never eat crow - they dont care - if they are willing to pre-emptively strike a foreign nation what makes you think they are going to care if people run from the draft - they will just decrease the draft age and keep on drafting - thats what makes them cheerleaders to begin with - if they werent that way we wouldnt be answering this question right now.

because of the fact it has virtually constantly been a Demonrat President that has instituted a Draft, now could actual be the time to rigidity approximately it.Demonrats are extra possibly to do the variety of ingredient.on the grounds that recommendations like Freedom are foreign places to them, forced servitude to the State(Draft) is a lots much less annoying ingredient for them to do. Being drafted is not an automatic death sentence and being anti war with no experience of war is the same as saying "there are no bad guys out there that want to hurt me". If you want peace, be prepared for war and that means you need veterans to train the next generation. Even ants have dedicated soldiers.

Not only do I agree with you but to take it even further, not just the people that are of the age for the draft but I believe alot of the parents and grandparents of those same people wont like it very much either.

A draft will change the demographic of people in the military.
Currently, a disproportionate amount of people in the military come from disadvantaged areas of the U.S.. If a draft were reinstated, our government would be less ambitious to go to war, because it would be their kids getting guns pointed at them instead of someone else's kids.
God bless the USA and the ability we are given to agree to disagree in forums such as this.
P.S. -If someone has to say they are "fair and balanced" are they?

I served in the military (Air Force) during the first gulf war. I am far too old now to be drafted (they won't even take me for enlistment anymore).
I am for any war that kills our enemies. I however think we need to leave Iraq and move on to where our enemies actually are (Iran, Afghanistan, and assist Pakistan). Staying in Iraq is not benefiting America, is not the most effective way of killing our enemies, and is costing to much (our children will have to pay for all we are spending to benefit Iraqis). I am also no fan of neo-cons.
I do listen to Savage (who by the way is no neo-con), and agree with him on much.
I won't be running to Canada, and I won't avoid serving if they should call me up.
I do not think most conservatives will run. Many of them serve already (or have in the past). I do think many people will run, but I do not believe these people will be conservatives or neo-cons.

I hear camel meat and dates taste good together, maybe they can tell us when they spend 2 years over there. The National Guard can be rotated home instead of 3 tours.

Please DO dodge the draft, It really sucked for getting qualified and willing applicants. Rich folks and colledge nerds always avoid service anyway Even back to the civil war they paid someone to take their place. The Military recognise we did alot better with the voluntary system anyway. Your just not that friggen important.
