ok my question is what do they do with the sports trophies after they have no more room for any names on them do they add to them or do they just store em somewhere and make a new one or what?

Depends on the trophy. The Stanley Cup, for example, has rings of metal, with names engraved on them. When the ring is full, the oldest comes off and a blank one goes on. The old rings are kept in the vault in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto for safekeeping.

Often each winner gets his or her own trophy, which is then duplicated the next year. The Lombardi Trophy (NFL) is presented to the winner of the Super Bowl, but it doesn't go back after a year. That kind of makes the Stanley Cup different and special.

England's highest military decoration is made from melted cannon metal captured in Europe. I'd like to think trophies
of organized sports had some if not equal worth but this is
not true. Glitzy sports kudos enter the realm of underpaid custodial staff who may keep them dusted between public
displays of former glory. Bedpans have a longer lifespan.
