I asked this question earlier with different phrasing, received two helpful replies (both excellent, in fact) and, this being my first time to use Yahoo Questions, while attempting to rate the answers inadvertently gave the impression that the matter is resolved. A surface with stronger properties of attraction than regular felt, that will hold applied felt shapes firmly without additional adhesive or velcro.
