I took algebra 1 last year. It would have been a whole heck of a lot better if I had a better teacher, but I learned a lot and it wasn't TOO hard. Of course some things are confusing, but I think if you study and turn in your homework you should be fine. Also, if you have a good teacher or someone to explain it to you then you should do well. It's fun if you know what's going on!!! I, too, am a year ahead. I'm going into geometry when most students my age are going into algebra 1.

Like you i was a year ahead and i found i Algebra 1 to be hard at times, but most of the time simple enough. Just make sure you ask a lot of questions so that you know what your doing for your homework.

Algebra 1 is lots and lots of detail, so you must not lose focus no matter how studious you are because it is incredibly tedious. Usually if you know the 1st step in solving, that's half the battle. Pre-algebra was a gimme, Algebra1 sometimes kept me up late, but pay close attention and dont try to rush and you'll love algebra, I did.

Its not at all I took Algebra 1 in 8th grade and passed with a B+. The most important thing is to do your homework. Homework is the main part of your grade. Homework will not only help grade but its a great way to keep up in class and do well on tests.

Not at all! it's the easiest one out of all so far as I know. I took it last year for 8th grade and now I'm going to Geometry AP and I think it's just fine don't worry the only thing I can really warn you is not to fall asleep between lessons cause then you'll be sort of lost cause it's mostly equations and graphs but you'll do just fine. if you still have doubts go to sparknotes and there you'll get all the help you need it helped me this summer cause i sort of forgot everything but it came right back. so try it and good luck next year!

It's harder than regular math. Geometry is the easy one.
As long as you study over Christmas break, though, you should be fine. That was my downfall. : P We had a quiz as soon as we got back, and I failed (first time all year, too).

If you like Algebra, it will probably be easy and fun.
If you hate Algebra, the next months will be a living hell.
