It's extremely common. I think that young women become more easily attracted to older men because of the fact that the man even paid attention to them in the first place. Older men get happy knowing that they could attract younger women. In the end it works out great for the both of them.

Well...I was watching this documentary on the same thing...and it said that men are attracted more to younger women, and women are more attracted to older men. The reasons why is because younger women are usually more fertile, and have more stamina and etc. etc. Reason why women are attracted to older men more is because older men tend to have more money, more power, more maturity, etc. It all comes down to our basic instincts, you want the best genes for your kids...you know? A younger woman will want an older guy who's good looking, has power (money) and is mature. A older guy wants a younger girl because of the looks, and the good sex...hate to brake it to you but that's what it said (with a little paraphrasing...)

How much older? I am 24 and dating a 37 year old. Its quite common I think and more socially acceptable than an older woman and younger man. Although that has become more 'trendy' with a lot of hollywood couples which has helped to lead towards more social acceptance.

My husband is 8 1/2 years older than me ( I am 23 in june, and he is 31 in september ) we have been together for at least 5 years... Personally speaking, I would not go over 35. It may have been the particular taste of said women; not a generalization of all young women liking older men.

I think younger guys are cute. They just arent very mature. I am repulsed by older men that hit on young women like myself. How much older, like 5 years? 10 years? Or like 30 years? (yuck)

It is a proven fact that girls mature at an earlier age than does boys. I personally was always attracted to guys 10 year or more older than myself. Yes, My hubby is 10 years older than me. Older men just know how to treat a lady to make her feel special. They don't drive up to your curb and honk for you. They come to the door to get you. It's not a coke, a bag of popcorn and a movie. It's dinner and a movie. Just give me an older man every time and leave to boys at home until they mature.

Just remember that men can continue to impregnate fertile women as long as they are physically able some past the age of 70. On the other hand women past menopause can no longer become pregnant withut medical intervention.

In some cultures and countries, is normal for young women to date; or even married with older men.Good question.
