I've noticed it before on my resolved questions. I'll have 4 stars on a question, then I'll have three. I think it happens if I don't chose the star-er as a best answer. I appreciate stars, but I don't hand out stars as a trade off for best answer. I look at who stars my questions, and a lot of time a person who starred is rewarded a best answer, but it is purely because I agreed with the person's answer. It just offends me that people do that when I actually thought my question was worth something.

i never noticed, but i totally agree that is just plain childish. i ignore stars usually, because the star beggars made them totally worthless.

I could care less what people do on here. I ask questions, I answer questions. What other people choose to do makes no difference to me whatsoever. People take this place way too seriously for their own good.
