I live in a third floor apartment, I get lot of sun right into my living room through the large sliding doors even with the vertical blinds closed. Is there any cheeper way to sun-proof the sliding doors with out causing too much damage to the glass? I live in an apartment, so this has to be something I should be able to undo.

One way to get thick curtains to keep the sun out. Are there any tinted sheets or something which I can put on the glass?

Large home improvement stores will sell a film that you can install on the glass door. This will block the sun and some of them will even block the UV rays that come through. Just buy the sheets and cut to fit. good luck.

You might want to consider a glass film.
