Why doesn't anybody say anything about the insane profits (gasoline taxes) that the government makes per gallon everyday? More than any gas station owner makes and probably as much as the Oil Industry makes.

I bash the left quite a bit but I'll have to take their side on this one.If I want coffee I brew my own because its much cheaper. Now if there was a kit I could buy enabling me to drill for oil in my backyard and refine it into gasoline, then you can bet your sweet a** that I would snatch it up in an instant. Not only that, coffee is not a necessity.Plus I also want to know why the price of gas keeps going up and down.I don't see this kind of back and fourth crap with other petroleum products like motor oil which comes from the same refineries.A lot of automotive paints are petroleum based, and the price of that stuff stays roughly the same also.Added these products are also not cheap, but the price is not going up and down like gas and diesel fuel. This is proof to me that the oil companies are gouging the prices.

I'm far from being a "LEFTIE" but it's apples and oranges. The primary argument is oil companies are making huge profits but won't lower pump prices a little for the average joe. Most people need gas to get to work, school, etc.... However, STARBUCKS is FAR from a necessary commodity. It is rather orinic that most people I know that are committed STARBUCKS fanatics are solidly on the left of the political spectrum.

Because we don't need coffee but we do need gas. If Starbucks coffee cost too much we can go elsewhere but if Exxon costs too much what choise do we really have. Therefore nobody cares if Starbucks makes too much money, but the feel oil companies should give back and lower prices.

no, its b/c gas is smthing car owners have to use. if dumbasses are wasting money on coffee, i could care less. Starbucks earned what they got through marketting of their disgustingly filthy tasting, yet terribly yummy-looking coffee. Oil companies, however, clearly raise prices during holidays and other times when driving frequency is up, and b/c we have no choice but to buy gas, it freaking pisses us off. get it? Plus, its not like ppl go and buy gallons of starbucks, b/c we don't need to!! but we do need gas, unless you plan on biking through 3 feet of snow in the winter to go buy some damn groceries!
and as for bottle water... i don't even know what ur talking about, but bottled water is damn stupid and a waste of good money.

Hey, you might have something in there; Starschmucks (as known to "Foamy" the squirrel) is a big supporter of Liberal causes; hell, how can anyone with a shred of common sense pay $6 for a cup of coffee (they call it Grande Espresso, double-latte, chai with organic soy milk - Blech!) - You need a Webster's Dictionary just to figure out what to order.
I mean, come on! How hard it is to order a large black coffee with two sugars? I mean, even a commoner like me knows how to order a large black coffee with two sugars. Gimme a break.

Um, did Starbucks make $30 BILLION last quarter? And are we REQUIRED to purchase a Starbucks-like product to conduct our business?
Gimme a friggin break.
I don't drink coffee, but of the two things I need to do in life, I can't make my own gasoline.

They will when we go to war with Columbia & the left will blame GWB for going to war over coffee.
Hillary will tax the coffee companies profits because NO company would share the burdon of their taxes with the consumer, yeah way to think Ms. Kankels

you have a choice to go to Starbucks or some where else and get a cheaper cup of coffee or to go home and brew your own, you don't have this choice in buying your gas,The the gas company's have a captive audience, no choice now is that not simple?
