Why do people still honour the Monarchy system in many countries? Why should the Royals get special treatments in modern world?

In ancient times, Monarch (king/queen/...) had to fight wars, govern the country etc... After every war or battle, a new kingdom will be born.

Current Monarchs/Royals just inherit and don't have to fight wars or govern the country.

Why should Queen Elizabeth's picture should be in all the currency notes & coins?

Monarchy should be abolished all over the world.

There certainly is. It's called Republic. It is a non political organisation which campaigns for monarchy to be replaced by an elected head of state. It's membership includes quite a number of well people. People are afraid of change, even when it involves an expensive, undemocratic anachronism such as monarchy.

Yes there is, but the monarchy should NOT be abolished.

A constitutional monarchy acts as a safeguard for the liberties of its subjects- read Walter Bagehot!

The Royal Family do a hundred times more what the Parliamentarians do for the normal punter in the street- read the Court Circular everyday.

People should be more polite when speaking of Her Majesty or the Prince of Wales. Because they cannot respond they are vilified by the leftists in the country and unfairly criticised in a way that is normally reserved only for those long dead or Nazis.

As someone mentioned, we tried abolishing the monarchy in the 17th century and it didn't work. The evil regicide Cromwell was worse than a King. His absolute rule banned MayDay, drinking and the theatre and the people were so miserable that after his death they begged Charles II to return.

The anti-monarchy group is called Republic, and under law should be banned- The Treason Felony Act 1848 bans all advocacy of republicanism in print. If it were not for the stupid Human Rights Act 1998 then this would be sorted. Another way in which Labour have destroyed our country.

I don`t know why people find that they have to be so rude and offensive in a personal way, with regard to the royal family. There has always been an anti monarchy movement in the U.K. and there always will be people who want the U.K. to be a republic, but it is quite out of order to be abusive about someone that you do not personally have knowledge of, only `hear-say` and second-hand stories. You can hardly blame the royal family for what they were born into. If you were them, I am sure you would `go along` with it all, and not give it up and go to work in a factory somewhere. I think a lot of people see royalty through the green eyes of envy, not just plain economics.

purely that's because of the fact as certainly one of Europe's oldest countries, Britain then had a much extra enormously developed and organised political device, a sort of democracy, which has been greater upon. It grew to become into interior the abode of Commons that the invoice to outlaw slavery finally got here into regulation. It grew to become into performed fullyyt throughout the time of the democratic technique. in spite of the indisputable fact that I very lots accept as true with what DazMaz has mentioned, I concern from my researches into slavery for that reason a procedures, that it grew to become into far extra generally occurring and familiar in Britain than has been reported. not a procedures from the place I stay, Oliver Cromwell had 2 slave ships outfitted at Deptford. Their objective? to transport slaves from West Africa to the yank [Puritan] Colonies. discovering the Slave commerce on the information superhighway attracts some very unhappy memories, particularly of folk in historic previous which will been considered as heroic. Francis Drake grew to become right into a slave dealer - not basic to take up, yet under no circumstances the less fullyyt real. the explanation the colonists of the yank Colonies [pre 1776] have been waiting to purchase and save slaves, is because of the fact King George III gave them that suited. The colonists observed their slave possession below probability and this might have had a great deal to do with why the conflict of Independence.

We have abolished the Monarchy before in this Country - we had Oliver Cromwell instead, and the ordinary people realised that he wasn't much to shout about either.
Of course we could have the system used by other Countries and elect a President, but can you honestly tell me of any President you know, in any Country, past or present, whom you would be proud to stand up and say "I elected him (her) and this person represents me and all that my Country stands for" in preference to our present Queen?
We have a Constitutional Monarchy in our Country where the King or Queen represents us with dignity - or would you prefer that we reverted to the Dictatorship of a ruling Monarch, where the Country would be plunged into economic chaos whenever he/she decided to knock seven bells out of another Country for personal gain? Perhaps to lose and become subject to another Country in your reborn State?
The only thing the Royals inherit these days is a job for life (the Queen swore at her Coronation that she would not walk away from her Duties - as a "Believer" this vow was to her, sacrosanct), and unwarranted criticism from the "it's not fair" brigade.
Her picture is "in all all the currency notes & coins" because she is the Head of this particular State. Would you, I assume a tax-payer, prefer to fork out for a complete change of all our currency every 4 years or so, whenever a new Prime Minister takes over at 10 Downing Street? I would prefer those millions be spent on equipping hospitals for sick kids.
Believe me, they do not need us, but, as a Country and as a money-earner, we need them. As for "special treatments" - the Queen is welcome to hers - would you want to be still working, and criticised for every move you make, when you are in your 80's? If that "special treatment" is considered to be a perk, then you can keep it.
Just give me one reason why you think the Queen needs us and I can give you a dozen in return as to why we need her.

It's called the British Government. I notice that with very few exceptions those countries which got rid of their own monarch at best go through many years of civil war and unrest. Frankly i prefer a King/Queen to some half baked politician far-ing around with ill thought out constitutions which they will ignore at the drop of a hat (national emergency of course)

i hope it won't be abolished. Monarchy rules for the name of God..while comunism denied the existence of God...Monarchy is the best ...I preffer to be poor and have a God..then be rich without God, with institutions telling that God doesn't exist. Monarhy is with God, and rules according to the existence of God...I would be glad if the king will come back..but many people look only to have food...and luxury and don't care about the sky...and don't care wether God is honoured or not.Monarchy means honouring God...

I agree but not absolute monarchy. The royal family just suck on the tax taxpayers pay. Who gives a crap if it's "all historical and a picture of culture" well it's gonna be historic as well if they turn down the monarchy. They should do it after the Queen dies before Prince Charles the monkey takes over.
