you don't want the male rabbit very larger then the female- about the same size rabbit would be ok. in my rabbit's last few pregnancies, i mark the calender when she's due and then bring the rabbit cage inside if it's winter to prevent the babies from being frozen. you must have a little box for the mother to lay her babies in. make sure the box is big anough for the mom and small anough for the babies. also the box can't be too tall or short. the mom will pull out her stomch fur and lay it in the nest when she is around pregnancy date to keep the babies warm. there is normaly one baby that will die in the litter. you can try to warm it up with a hot water bottle or towel, but chances are it may not survive. the mom will do most of the work. rabbits can be hard to sell so make sure you have a "back-up plan". hope this helps! good luck!!!!

after the rabbits have mated, and you know this for sure, take the male back out, he will kill all of the male babies there. my friend has some rabbits and this he told me.and on the other/ they don't have to be smaller than the females, they can be the same size.

it doesn't matter the size of the male, unless he is like 10 pounds and she is like 2......i mean try to have them within 5 pounds of each other. Make sure the doe is not overweight this will make delivery hard for her, also do not overfeed, only give her about what she will eat in 1/2 a day. and provide feed that is 16-17% protein.
