I am writing a paper and would like to use some rhetorical questions in my introduction.

Ex. "What were we fighting for?"

Thank you if you can provide some more.

people often ask, how the super power could lose to a peoples fighting without shoes, wearing what some would call pajamas, and fighting fiercely on 1000 calorie a day diets. the super power believing its own propaganda that it was the best thought it could take on any enemy. powerful military throughout history have been bogged down by a peoples resistance. once invaded, nationalism sets in , leading to hard times for the occupier. seeing this the superpower started using the most hideous weapons of mass destruction, like napalm, phosphorus attacks, and many other weapons not talked about publicly.

people here in Asia where i live , are happy Vietnam beat America, it showed us the superpower can be beaten, in the west the defeat painful, leading to Reagen being elected, and invasions like Grenada, and Panama, eager for a win.

How much of John Kerry's Congressional testimony [in the mid 1970's] was a lie??

What effect did this made up testimony about atrocities committed by US troops have on the decision by Congress to refuse further support to South Vietnam??

{It was pretty suspicious at the time since Kerry was in the Navy and the troops were in the Army. How would he know?}

++++++++
This would be after Kerry exited the Navy for reasons he won't disclose and before President Carter gave him an honorable discharge (the Navy had refused) in 1979.

My husband did 3 tours of Vietnam, and 1 in Desert Storm, do you really know what kind of damage this can do to a human, because I love him dearly I made it thur, the late nite raids, that didn't happen, when he is drunk he talks about having to kill people, and slept with a gun under his pillow forever, my husband is much better now, but for years I wondered what happened to him, this is so sad, and I think about our troops over there now, sorry to be so blunt, but what the heck are we fighting for, just like Vietnam.
