On the off chance that film-makers will re-discover the art of creating suspense and fear at some point and will actually make a good horror movie. Most modern horror films repeat the same patterns, the same sort of situations, and concentrate on shock, gore and splatter, all of which become boring after a while--
One rare exception is "The Host" a recent South Korean monster movie, which, by reversing all the classic monster movie cliches, creates a sense of mystery, of dread, of excitement, humor, shock and suspense that hasn't been equalled in decades.
All it takes is imagination and skill.

I don't think it's a matter of the person. Most horror movies are made to seem like a scare fest but, in reality, are rather cheesy. Thank the media for this. There are some decent horror movies. I enjoyed The Descent.

u r mistaken about what horror truly is. it's about hope and survival. u watch them not just for a good scare, but for the thrill of the escape.

Cause even though it doesent scare you you still get the same thrill from it as if it did

i think to see if "this movie" will finally be "the movie" to scare them..or if they want to make fun of their friends by saying it dosnt scare them..
