I married three days after graduating from high school at age 17. I had my first child, age 19. He was beautiful but I remember just staring at him in my arms and I realized he had incredible insight and had what I call "an old soul." This turned out to be true. He is age 46 and happily married, no children though.
I knew nothing about children. He kinda taught me, I think. I hated to baby sit when I was a teenager. I don't even like to baby sit my grandchildren. I guess I am a terrible grandmother but just not the grandmother category.

I was 20 when I had my first, and pretty much lost, he will be 30 in October. And he is the father of 2 wonderful children. He was like a Mr. Mom for a while with his first, a great Dad to both. ( one is 4 and the other is almost 8 months). Thank goodness I had my Mom close to answer my questions and help me. My second was at 24, and a lot easier, I think all new Moms have more to learn than they realize.

I was 24 and I studied every book I could find on what a baby looked like inutero. I knew what each trimester produced in the growth of the baby, and all the stages of childbirth. Giving birth to my first daughter took 1 hr.; daughter no. 2 took 20 minutes. During that time I also bought the Dr. Spock book and wore out one copy before the girls were even born. Nothing prepare me for their teen years, however!

I was 23, my wife was 20. I knew nothing about children but my wife helped raise her two much younger brothers so she was an old hand at it. Lucky thing, too, for I was pretty much lost with our first one who is now 45. And, our first one, a girl, was premature weighing only a little over 4 pounds when we brought her home. She was really a tiny little thing.

I had my son just a few months before I was 19.
I had to grow up fast when my mum died at 32 and left 4 kids, I was the eldest, so I suppose you could say I had to grow up early. I think that made it easier for me to become a mum, cos I'd been practising since I was 13.
By the time I became a grandma at 39 I'd had loads of practice! lol x

I was 21 y/o when my first baby was born. It was a dream come true for me. I was blessed with a healthy baby & that's all that mattered to me. He's 39 years old now, & has two sons of his own. I had done lots of babysitting when I was younger, & having had such strong maternal instincts early on, helped guide me as I raised my own children.

I had Chrissy when I was 21. I am now 22 and she is 13 months. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister. So luckily I knew alot about babies. But I did still have ALOT of questions. And of course, it was scary at first. But she is my life! I wouldnt have it any other way!

I was 24, and yes I knew about children. I had 6 younger brothers, that I had a helping hand in raising. Not financially
speaking, but day to day, changing diapers, babysitting and in general guidance
