Considering how many different theatres there are in Houston, Equity and non-Equity, it might be worth the time and effort to start calling them and asking about casting for the season. Theatre Lab might be a good start, or Masquerade Theatre (they're doing more popular shows these days, which is a shame, but I think they still run an actor's studio on the side). Theatre New West has just opened up a new work/performance space--the Houston Chronicle had a small write-up about it this past week. Get on the phone and start calling (all the companies are in the phone book, after all)!

Ii am guessing graduate from High School. Now what acting auditions are those that you are talking about? There really are none for professional work unless you have an agent. Houston is not the greatest of places to become a professional actor, although one can get a good foundation there. Why don't you click on my name and read my profile and write to me at my aol address and tell me about yourself. I have a student in Houston now who just graduated HS this past Spring.
