If the season ended in July I would say maybe. But, the Sox have played like crap the last 6 weeks and the Yankees have been playing up to their potential. Right now I would say the Sox will be lucky to make the postseason let alone win the WS. For all those that say the Yanks are only hot cuz they played sub 500 teams they just swept the Indians, won the Angels series and pounded the O's who last I checked took 2 of 3 from the Sox. Time for the Sox to choke again!

Look here chip, As a die hard devoted Yankee this is how its all gonna play out, if gagme continues to struggle its gonna be 2005 possibly 2006 all over again.. The Yanks are gonna continue to play great baseball, we've just swept the Indians, Baltimore just owned gagme and the rest of the sox bullpen, And Baltimore is coming to the stadium to lose a series against the Yankees, it'll be 2 out 3 or another sweep. Then in comes those slumping Tigers, which could be some sort of a challenge when we see verlander, my guess is that we'll take 3 outta 4. Then comes the real challenge on the road against those damned pain in the *** Angels, we'll just have to wait and see about that. Then it'll be another split or series win against the tigers, Then it will be the biggest series of the month Bosox at Yankees, If the Yankees sweep, well lets just say it'll be an exclamation mark on the Boston Massacre IV, enjoy your time in 1st place while you can BoSox the yankees are lurkin' and comin up that ladder fast.

Well of course the Sox are going to win!
They have the great Gagne! They have the best bullpen in baseball! They have a Jenny Craig reject named Big Papi who can't play a position and wears flowery shirts!

Reality check. The Sox are in first place. For now. Their bullpen is screwing up left and right. Gagne is a bust. Big Sloppy needs to worry about diabetes, not who's pitching.
The Yanks are coming. The Yanks are coming. The Yanks are coming... but we're not there yet. Enjoy it in the mean time.

What a dummie. Your team just blew a lead and lost in the 10th inning to the Orioles. With that great bullpen they have. LMAO. Win the world series, my @$$. They will be lucky to get in the playoffs. On behalf of all Yankee fans around the world, I would like to thank the Red Sox for keeping 1st place warm for us. We will be over in a few days to take it from you. Hahahahahahah!

I do. They are going through a bad stretch right now but will rebound, win their division, win the AL playoffs, and win the World Series in six games.

no they won't cause their pitching is suffering from all the extra innings the pitched for no raeson to give the bullpen a rest when they didn't need a rest
