You can use a single Radeon on an SLI board, just like you can use a single Geforce on a Crossfire board. But you cannot run two Radeons in Crossfire mode on an SLI board, nor can you run two Geforces in SLI mode on a Crossfire board.

because maximum persons don't have 2 desktops' one with SLI and the different with Crossfire, i think of a assessment could be confusing. I opted for SLI while development my gadget only because of the fact i'm extra familiar with NVIDIA photographs adapters than ATI. i think of that's an argument of determination.

SLI = nVidia only
Crossfire = ATI only

SLI only works on nVidia motherboards
Crossfire only works on INTEL and AMD (formerly ATI) motherboards.
