Medical discharge papers are given to someone that has life threaten problem, that if that person stayed in service they would lose their life, than they may get the discharge. Honor doesn't Run! They have another name for that! Only one man in history has had two Congressional Medals of Honor, he was from my family!

My good friend lost his entire leg in Iraq (he was wounded by an IED). He now uses a prosthetic leg.

Oh, by the way....he did NOT get a medical discharge (he didn't want one, either...he is still performing his duty).

If you want the discharge, speak to the MD who is treating you.
