I don't see anything wrong in putting a flag on the underwear and why a ban should be imposed.

Not this congress.... Maybe a republican congress would waste their time with that nonsense when there is a war going on and people are dying...
Or maybe if Tipper Gore was still involved in our rights...
It's amazing the way some people still put their patriotism in front of their morals and even the constitution...

No. It is called censorship.
The flag is merely a symbol. Yes - it symbolizes our nation, but it is a symbol all the same. Just like a donut with a bite out of it is a symbol for Homer Simpson, and the golden arches symbolize McDonalds.

Heck no, that's a freedom-of-speech thing, yadda-yadda-yadda, blah blah blah, we've heard it all before.
Whether or not it'd be bad taste varies, mind you. A tight pair of briefs that's liable to get soiled, or a flashy, baggy pair of stars-and-stripes boxer shorts? I can see myself prancing around in the latter, I'll tell you that much!

I'm certain Congress has nothing more pressing to consider than the color of people's underwear.

No they shouldn't. Notice how truly dedicated people don't need a "symbol" to rally around? What is the flag for terrorism? Freedom is not a flag, it is a way of being.

It's arguably unconstitutional -- nothing in the Constitution gives Congress the authority to pass laws regulating clothing.

Why? That kinda defeats the purpose of free speech and liberty. You cannot legislate bad taste.
