That could depend on allot of different circumstances. Just because somebody is my best friend doesnt always put them in the right. I need real good reason to not treat somebody with the same respect they give me.

As a Thundercat I am very judgemental and though I have wronged others I am better that they forgive me when...so there for I look at your question from that point of view of how I am treated by that person...not by how they treat others neccessarily...however your question is a slippery slope...because I may be offended by the way they treat others which would affect---affect---our relationship...

I tend to judge people on how they treat others. People are always kissing up to me, but I can generally see through that. My ultimate test is how they treat wait staff and bellmen or other sevice people.

What I look at is how they treat people like waitresses, secretaries and other service class people. If they are rude and short with them then they are probably just waiting to get the upperhand on me.

I judge people by how they treat people that serve them...like waiters, gas station attendants etc. Some people think they are bigger than "lower class" workers...and since I am "lower class" how people treat those people shows me what kind of person they really are.

i think both equations come into play here, but if someone was not nice to my bf or bgf i certainly wouldn't give them any encouragement in a friendship
