It depends in which context but there's an easy way to decide whether to use "I" or "me" in sentences.
All you have to do is discard the word "you" then try the sentence with "I" and "me" one at a time. For example:
I should have lunch ---- Me should have lunch.
In this case it should be You and I
Another example is
He'll blame I--He'll blame me
In this case it should be You and me
You should always put yourself last.

The rule is, ifyou were on your own, how would you say that sentence, then that's how you say it when another person is involved.
Clarification time.
I went to the town ...... My sister and I went to the town.
Would you give me a lift home ..... Will you give Tracey and me a lift home. See what I mean?

It depends on how you say the sentence. You may say you and me or you and I but never yourself first in a proper sentence structure.

The correct way to say it is 'you and I' but it is more commonly used as 'me and you' as I do think it sounds better when you are talking to someone you know very well, i.e a friend.

You and I is proper. Or you and me. Take away the other subject and then determine "I" or "me".
