Is your business profitable enough that you quit your job? What do you sell? Where? eBay? Yahoo Stores? Tell me about your experiences please. I am thinking of trying this move.

No, my online stores are not profitable enough for me to quit my job but I'm getting there. I have my own websites and sell gift items and sports-related gift items. Tried eBay and Amazon and they took more than they were worth.

Set up my own website - www.4specialtygifts.com and did pay per click to get started. Asked everyone I knew to click on it to get some traffic going, researched how to improve my position and played with meta tags, etc.

Be careful as it is a 7/24 job. Maybe if I had a different product, I'd have more time for myself. And something with a higher profit margin.

Good luck!

Hi,

I have an online business. I am a 5 star Yahoo merchant and registered with the Better Business Bureau. I have been doing this for 3 years and I love it, but I have not quit the day job yet.

There is a lot of research that needs to go into a decision like this. You need to do market research and find a niche that is competitive ( demand for your product or service ), but, not too much so that you can't make a profit.

There are those that do well with Ebay, but unfortunately the majority of online business owners will not succeed.

The most important thing you have to do is treat your customers right and over deliver on all fronts. You must provide superior customer service, which will help to brand you and set you apart from most others.

If you want some resources that I use to find legitimate drop shippers (so you don't haved to carry inventory ) contact me and I will supply the best resource I have found to date.

You can also do market research with this resource to determine what the probability is in your chosen niche of success.

Also, I am involved with a great network marketing company, which is another route you may want to take of you are interested in a legitimate home based business.

The trick is to find a network marketing company that has a great marketing system and can help you to earn residual income...build it once and reap the benefits.

The founders are Robert Allen (Multiple Streams of Income) and Richard Paul Evans (The 5 Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me)

It doesn't get more legit or trustworthy than that.

There is a 20 minute video presentation that will explain this opportunity. After that you will know if this is a business that you will be interested in.

This is not a get rich quick scheme by any means.

There is extensive company and team training, so you will learn how to build this business the right way.

It is a dynamic, rapidly growing company. But, it is network marketing and you have to build the business. But, it is a great product, great people and fun.

Check it out...you have nothing to lose, but 20 minutes of your time.

If you are interested, register with your name and e-mail address at the end of the video presentation and you will be contacted if you want more information.

If you click on my Avatar, you will be able to get the website URL in my profile for the eye opening video presentation or you can e-mail me for more info.

Good luck,
Marc

No. I just started a few small seach engines and an free email provider, they're not that profitable yet. I don't recommend you quit your job, untill your business is making atleast what you do per year. my advice=do your research.
