Under the present administration, the rights of all United states citizens are being taken away.
Last week the president signed into a law a bill that gives him the authorization to conduct wire taps, collect emails and the like on all citizens, even those with no known links to any foreign government or terrorist groups.
Unfortunately, the usual course of actions for most citizens is to complain but do nothing.
They can not be blamed fro such a lack of action as there is no longer a government which represents the people. Not only is the president and his cadre, henchmen and gophers all working to erode our rights, Congress, both the House and Senate seem to be unwilling to act on behalf of those person whom they supposedly represent..

For those who may have actually studied a bit of history and remember what they may have learned about how Adolph Hitler and the Brown Shirts came into power, the situation is terrifying.
Basically, after years of moral decline and political corruption, a socialist Christian group began to move politically and slowly gained the acceptance of the masses who either thought nothing would come of it or were too lazy to resist. That group was the Nazi party, supported by Christian fundamentalist, extreme right wingers and others of that ilk.

Those who do not remember history are doomed to repeat it. Sadly, few U.S. of A. citizens are well educated nor did they learn their history.

Short of a revolution, which would be in keeping with ideals and understandings of the founding fathers of this nation regarding a government that no longer represents its citizens, what would you have us do?

What would you suggest. Murder? Boston tea party? I do everything I know how to persuade the people I can reach but for the most part it falls on deaf ears. When you are surrounded by what seems to be millions of ignorant people who only vote, if at all, for the candidate that would give them a false sense of security rather than thinking of weather their rights or liberties were being abridged, it gets pretty frustrating. At this point in the history of the US, revolution may be the only answer to regaining what was once ours.

They are being taken way, and I do say something -- as well as doing something about it.

Every one of the rights curtailed in the past decade were my rights, and yours. The fact that neither of us may have needed to invoke them doesn't make them any less our rights.
