She is Canadian, a native of Toronto, at present living in Providence, Rhode Island.

None of her bio information goes into that. She was born in Toronto (although Wikipedia says otherwise -- I will go with her official bio -- I'll bet it's more accurate).

I would guess that she is of mixed ancestry - like so many of us -- to me she appears to have some Asian ancestry. But I have no way to back up that assertion.

She's a terrific pianist, that's for sure!!
