most gas stations have a tire pump...i am sure if you ask someone to help you they would. it probably isn't a good idea to do this by yourself if you don't know what you are doing....not to make you paranoid but there is the outside chance that something could go wrong and you could end up letting all the air out of the tires or worse yet, you could get hurt

I agree with the other answers that you should get your own tire pressure gauge. Leave it in the glove box, so you will always have it, when you need it, and you know where it is.

Once you have your own gauge, go to a full service gas station and ask the attendent to check the pressure in your tires, or just ask them to show you how to do it yourself. Most guys are happy to help people take care of their cars. As for the proper pressure, there may be a sticker in the drivers door jamb that will list the correct pressures front and rear.
If you can't find it, then look in the auto's owners manual. It will be listed there. Do this before you go to the gas station and ask for help. Good luck.

Go to the nearest convenience store and buy a pencil-type air gauge. Then, after filling the tires, measure the amount of air you've put in them and adjust as necessary. DO NOT rely on visual checking as you're probably going to under inflate them, if anything. Remember to check the door jamb or inside the glove box for a placard that telly sou how much air to put in the tires. It isn't necessary to take the vehicle to a body shop, service station, or other source of air as long as you have access to either a pump or compressor. Good luck!

It is easy. Go to an auto parts store or even walmart or wherever and get a tire pressure gauge. They are about 2 bucks. THAT is the best way to show how much pressure you have And on your tire it will tell you how much you are supposed to have. It will say.. PSI.. and a number. And you actually want to pump about 2-3 psi below that. When you drive your tires heat up and expand. Hope this helps.
