why?
i mean, just because people shop there doesn't mean they are stereotypical clones. maybe they just like the style? i shop there, but im not trying to be something im not. if were 'supposed' to wear what we want, and be who we are, then why are people criticizing the people who wear abercrombie and not the people who shop at hot topic or w/e. its the same thing. i like the clothes there so i buy them [kike the people who shop at ht], but im not a clone of someone else [and think, theres alot of people who probably bought the same shirt you did at ht just like abercrombie...a&f is just more popular u see it more]. i wear what i like. i like some of the styles at abercrombie. so why do i have to feel bad about it when i see comments like "abercrombie is stupid blah blah blah'

I have one shirt from Hollister, it was a present. I would rather live my life being myself. I know that if I buy clothing from the "popular" stores like Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle and so forth there will be a good chance that someone else with own the SAME thing! So I shop at consignment stores, garage sales and anywhere else I can find that will have clothes that will be almost guaranteed unique. I can afford brand names; I just choose not to wear them.

People just need to accept people for who they are, I shop there and at Hollister because I love their clothes and its my style. They have these specialty stores to attract certain people with different lifestyles and personalities. If you like their clothes, shop there if you don't like their clothes, don't shop there; it's as simple as that. Don't criticize someone because they shop there or if they don't. Face it a lot of awesome people don't shop at A&F but a lot of awesome people shop at A&F too. Get to know a person before you judge them. This sounds corny but is a golden rule "Its the inside not outside that matters"

even though I loathe abercrombie I don't have a problem with people who wear I have a prolem who think there better thaneverybody because thery wear it and all the people who say if we dont like it we can't afford it is full of crap the people who don't like it probably like stores like pacsun and demo ect. and the clothes cost the exact same amount checkout baby phat and apple bottoms I bet you'll notice that the prices are in the same range as your A&F and hollister besides the only reason I dont like hollister and A&F is because theyre cliche besides you wasted 5 points to make a statement that won't change anything people who dislike A&F will still dislike A&F and people who like it will still like it

I shop there too, but I can see why people criticize Abercrombie.
Abercrombie and Fitch had undergone lawsuits involving racial discrimination. They said they needed the "all American look" which in their mind meant only hiring blonde, athletic white kids and models. This upset a lot of other people, because the term "American" doesn't apply to one particular race or ethnicity. They got a lot of flack for that.
I can also see how people can call us "clones" because seriously, you cannot deny that everyone wears it (I am right now) and it DOES look a little cliche-ish..

I totally agree! I like abercrombie cause it is like the only store that I can fit in jeans at. So I just get all my clothes there.

well abrecrombie is a preppy kind of style so thats one reason they might make fun of it. i personally dont like that store only because it is really expensive and im more into hot topic or forever 21 kinds of styles but i dont make fun of or criticize people who wear abercrombie. i just think that people should wear whatever they want or whatever looks good on them. i mean its just a name brand

I wear a LOT of Abercrombie, but I do think that A&F needs diverse models. All their models are white. They need African Americans, Latinos, every race.

I feel the same about ppl who talk about Hollister. They say we are just buying it for the name, but I love the quality. I can't even find a pair of jeans that fit right unless I get them at Hollister Abercrombie or Hollister. Your exactly right, ppl don't talk about Old Navy or Hot Topic so why are ppl who go to Hollister immediaty labled!! I luv Abercrobie and I always will!!!

I think there are some really cute clothes there. But sometimes you can do the same look over and over and over... I mean how many times can you wear jean, a graphic tee and a a hoodie and a jean miniskirt.
