what bands are played in old navy stores?

Question

i went to old navy today,
and there was this song i really liked..
i heard it for the first time..
and when i got home..
i forgot all the lyrics!!
haha.
i knew i should have wrote it down or text it to myself or something,
but,
i was just wondering what bands do they usually play in there stores..
and maybe i can just happen to find it..
i really need to hear the song again,
and it will bug me for the rest of my life..
till i have time to go back to the store and spend a whole day there listening to all the songs they play....

I actually work for an Old Navy store. Each month the store receives a new CD from corporate and they include along with the CD a list of all the names of the songs and the artists. Some stores have an upgraded system where the player will say on the display screen the name of the song and the artist. I would suggest going into an Old Navy, or the one you were in when you heard the song playing and ask to speak to a manager. Ask them if they can check for you the title and artist of the song, or if you can see the list that comes with the CD. It really should only take the manager a minute to help you. I would also suggest going early in the day, when they would be less busy and have more time to help you.

Every Old Navy has the same songs on a satellite feed. If you do hear one you like in the store, just ask an employee and they can look at the receiver and tell you who it is and the name of the song. Unfortunately, I don't know where you can find a list of the current songs, but some of the artists on rotation right now are Timbaland, Lauryn Hill, Lily Allen, Albert Hammond Jr., the Arctic Monkeys, and Beyonce. They also usually feature a ton of lesser-known artists, as well as singles before they even hit the radio. (Sorry to sound like a commercial, but I've worked there for two years; it's really where I get a ton of my new music!)

You can write Old Navy HQ an E-mail and ask them how they pipe in background music to each store, and if each store does their own or it's the music they pick.

haha i work at old navy so i hear the songs all the time and i have one lyric from a song i like stuck in my head.
i know they play the format, lily allen, timbaland, beyonce..
its hard to name them all

I unno....they usually put on a cd or turn on the radio or something. Keep listening to the radio or something, maybe you'll hear it again. Good luck!!
