Nope, Crystal is it's own name. And it's a pretty one.

I love the name Crystal, but I don't think it's a very good nickname for Christina. Maybe Christy or Tina.

Chris, Christie, and Tina are all nicknames for Christina. Crystal is its own name. Why don't you check out babynames.com. They are pretty good about explaining which nicknames are derivative from what names. They tell you the meaning, ethnicity, history, etc.

Crystal & Christina are similar, but separate names. They can share the same nicknames, though (Chrissy, Christa, Christy, etc).

maybe christy, or chrisy. Crystal might work, but I don't see the difference between Christina and Crystal so much.

I prefer Christina. I think when she grow up, it will command more respect for some reason.

No. It's its own name and I don't like it at all. Christina is pretty, though.

I don't think so... I think it's a full name not a nick name

OMG here is something funny though
My Aunt is a teacher and she had a student named:

First Name: Crystal
Last Name: Chandelier (if that is how you spell it) (I mean the things that hang from your cieling)

No - it's just a word, having to do with glass or mineral crystals.
