The last few months I've heard nothing but great things about the iPhone... unfortunately I also heard nothing bad about MacBook Pro and I bought one which turned out to be a complete pile of sh!t -- we're talking absolutely ZERO ability to play games for $2500. Is the iPhone worth my $$ or just another scam?

You can play games on a MacBook Pro. Walk into your nearest Apple store, or look at the games area of the online Apple store and you will see several games that you can purchase. Having said that, it is true that many console games are not made to be played on any Mac. You can, however, play PC-based games on your Mac with the purchase of Parallels or use of a copy of XP/Vista with the free Bootcamp software.

You have not been "scammed" unless the salesperson lied to you in some way. Your MacBook Pro is a powerful laptop computer that runs all the best software, and is less expensive and more robust than the equivalent PC laptop.

Now, about the iPhone. As with any new hardware, it is always a good idea to give it some time for any remaining problems to be worked out, and go get an iPhone after a few months have passed. I am going to wait as well. It still remains to be seen whether Apple is forced to open up the iPhone to all major phone carriers. By then, most of the problems should be worked out.

Don't throw your MacBook Pro in the garbage if you only wanted to play games on it. Make the effort to find out what games you can play right away, and whether Parallels or Bootcamp is right for you. Heck -- send it to me instead of junking it and you'd be making a new friend for life!

BTW, I'm really enjoying the free OpenArena that you can download and play. It reminds me of Quake Arena-style games.

I would wait about another year to get the Iphone because right now they are having a lot of bugs and problems that they need to tweak out. I personally wouldnt get it now because i dont want any problems and in about a year most of them will probably be worked out.

The iPhone is not worth it. People are having a lot of problems with it. Instead of an iPhone, you should get a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092. I have one, and I love it. I would highly recommend it.

there's no point of buying an i-phone and waste so much money.later on the prices will drop.so i suggest you wait or at least not buy it for now.trust me,remember when razor came out and it was expensive?after a year or so they lowered the prices.or when xbox 360 came out, they froze when played.then it took some time to make adjustments.so just wait for now.it'll save you money

don't get the iphone because you are aloud to re charge the phone only a certain amount of times before the battery dies and the battery dies in like a year.
