while watching phantom of the opera. we had a sub teacher, who actually kne nothing about the subject, so we just watched a movie. I hadnt slept for around 30 hours and the opera music just made me doze off. and no one bothered waking me up! they all left the class silently. i only woke up cuz a fat kid tripped and fell on me. But the sub left before the lesson ended, so i didnt get in trouble.
I also fell asleep off my chair while watching cirque du soleil. (great movie, for when youre awake...lol...even better live). all the dancing made me dizzy i guess. i woke up after 5 minutes. (FYI i hadnt had breakfast OR dinner the previous night. I also hadnt slept for around 24 hours.)
If ur wondering WHY i sleep so little, its because i like finishing my work (artwork, projects, writing...) even if i have to sacrifice my sleep. Sometimes i go to sleep at 5 AM, (which means at dawn) so my routine gets spoilt.
Oh, and both of the above incidents happened this year (aka last year cuz schools over).

My first week on the job as an overnight security guard, I got in trouble for falling asleep at the main desk. One of the VP's was standing at the door ringing the entry bell for 20 minutes to wake me up. Whoops!
I never had the problem of falling asleep in school. But one of my friends found out the hard way not sleep in our high school government class. The teacher spend a minute or two writing on the chalk board and then erasing it to really load up the eraser with dust, then pegged it at his head. He was covered in chalk dust. Kind of funny for the rest of us, and a good lesson.

I fell asleep in a darkroom once (I was in there making multiple exposure negatives) and fell off of the stool, cracked my head on the counter behind me. I was in the complete dark and could not find the door or light switch...
I had gone to work that morning still a little drunk and damn if I didn't crash after lunch!
Long before the kids came along...

I fight sleep a lot in class. Sometimes grad school classes can be SO long and boring. It's my own fault for being sleepy in class...I stay up too late at night.
I do have a memory of being woken up in school. It was in a math class of about 20 people in my freshman year of college. It was another one of those instances where I was fighting sleep and my instructor saw me and said my name really loud, which jerked me awake and then he asked me what the answer was to a problem he was doing on the board...fortunately I was able to answer it!

I fell asleep in family health class, when I was in 10th grade. The girl behind me woke me up because I was snoring, I was really embarressed and I felt so bad for the teacher. After class I apologized to her...

The worst was when I was on a college visitation as a senior in high school, was observing a lecture in a class and fell asleep during the lecture!
