The illusion of white light but more specifically completely non-coherent light. A laser is an example of coherent light in the fact that it generally only emits light in a set wavelenth hence the single color this is esspecially important to note in lasers that emit green light from a solid state source because the pumping diode is usually in the near-ir range and all solid state green lasers are slightly incoherent due to 808nm leakage.
