I was wondering if there was any device such as a usb or serial device that had an output that allowed the control of voltage for random hardware not connected to the compouter? I was going to try and write a device driver and use the serial port and its voltage pins, but I was wondering if there was this was already done?

Hey, what are you trying to do? The USB and serial ports are designed for very low power gadgets consuming current in milliamps, NOT amps.

BUT nobody is stopping you if you like some fried mobos or smoked PSUs.
