I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you may need a new fuel pump.

Climb under the truck.
Remove the inline fuel filter.
Put a piece of fuel hose on the line to the tank.
Put the other end in a plastic soda bottle.
Turn the key on.

The fuel pump should turn on for two seconds, then shut off.

If you have a pressure gage, test the fuel pressure it should be about 12 -13 psi.

Anything less that 8 psi is bad.

Check the fuse behind the plastic cover on the fire wall (under the hood) and see if the relay clicks on, then off after 2 seconds when you turn the key on.

the first thing to do is listen to the fuel tank as someone turns the key to on... should here the pump prime up for a couple seconds.. next would be check for a plugged in-line fuel filter

Make sure that the pump is running when you turn the ignition key on. Then check to see if the fuel filter is not plugged.
