Coragryph,

Perhaps, but Christianity in general does not apply.

Hmmm, I had to look the word up...lol...

complacency:
1. A feeling of contentment or self-satisfaction, especially when coupled with an unawareness of danger, trouble, or controversy.
2. An instance of contented self-satisfaction.

They will get their way if everyone continues to try to force the Christians to be silenced.

U.S. Constitution: First Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I believe in the word of GOD," The truth shall set us free" and "If we repent, GOD will heal our land". And I was delivered from my enemies (those who wanted to control me or cause me harm.)

Call me crazy and thumb me down, but when I repented GOD healed my body and my mind was opened to see the truth.

He built up countries who honored HIS word, and when they denied HIM ,they were turned over to their own ways and over taken by their enemies.

We get it...we do...but is the answer require the invasion of any nation we think might be the next great threat??

Radical Islam has been a problem in the world for a looonnggg time. And I would agree that we have to be vigilant. But vigilance does not mean invasion and it doesn't rule out constructive dialogue with potential enemies.

Let's look at Syria. The Bush Administration slams the Syrians constantly. And yet, the Syrians have maintained a relative truce with Israel and actually kept Hamas at bay when they occupied Southern Lebanon. We all know what happened after they left. And also we hear reports that Syria allows the CIA to drop off some of their "extreme rendition" quests in Syrian prisons. I find this a little strange.

I would also have to agree with Coragryph (as usual) that radical / extremist religious groups throughout the world are the biggest threat we all face.

But you know at the end of the day, we can't fight the whole world. At some point, we have to put down the sword and try to understand...and maybe figure out that the best way to protect yourself is to remove the thorn from the eye of thine enemy.

I fear that America may need to suffer an even greater, more horrible attack than on 9/11. Perhaps the loss of an entire city before most Americans will be shaken out of complacency.

I don't so much blame the liberals for minimizing the threat as much as I do blame the average American for allowing themselves to be sold this bill of goods. We have an enemy, they wish us harm, they are willing to die to impose their will, they are willing to use their own children as suicide bombers, they teach their radical message to children who are being bread to grow up hating Jews, the West and anything not Muslim.

Yet far too many Americans are still allowing themselves to accept that nothing bad is going to happen or law enforcement is adequate to protect us or that America is to blame and if we just leave these people alone they will leave us alone.

We do so at our own peril.

I was assaulted by a muslim in 1987 for no other reason but that I am American. You don't get to accuse me of complacency.

I do, however, strongly believe that we face greater threats than this. Our medical, educational, fuel/power, and industrial sectors are out of control and getting worse. While the threat from radical Islam is not to be discounted, neither is it the primary threat facing our country today. If we allow ourselves to stop making progress on what truly matters to us because of our fear of terrorism, we have handed victory to Osama.

Peace,

i have wondered the same thing. most seem to be in denial even though the terrorist themselves have told us their plans and have been pretty effective in implementing them.

more of the moderate muslims need to speak out, a few are but receive death threats, this woman is brave and courageous and trying to alert all to the dangers we face.

"The clash we are witnessing around the world is not a clash of religions, or a clash of civilizations. It is a clash between two opposites, between two eras. It is a clash between a mentality that belongs to the Middle Ages and another mentality that belongs to the 21st century. It is a clash between civilization and backwardness, between the civilized and the primitive, between barbarity and rationality. It is a clash between freedom and oppression, between democracy and dictatorship. It is a clash between human rights, on the one hand, and the violation of these rights, on other hand. It is a clash between those who treat women like beasts, and those who treat them like human beings. What we see today is not a clash of civilizations. Civilizations do not clash, but compete." by Wafta Sultan

many seem to minimize them and that is to our peril. i, for one, believe what they tell us with their own words.

that is all approximately political correctness and our obsession with variety. If that isn't any longer of our way of existence, it must be better. Make a assertion approximately Islam and you gets the non-Muslim Islamic apologist almost protecting a terrorist and attempting weakly to evaluate the attack to "what Christians do!" "Timothy McVeigh became a Christian!" He became no longer, he became agnostic. "yet-yet what approximately Hitler, he became a Christian!" incorrect back, Hitler became evil which quickly blew him out of the Christian faith. "Oh i understand, what with regard to the KKK, hmmm?" incorrect back, the KKK are no longer a Christian company. Obama does each and every thing in form of an impotent limp-wristed way. If he would not get the outcomes he needs, he blames yet another celebration. while Obama get caught on something, like getting the main important political donation from BP, he lashes out at them and tries to make himself look stable. we are probable no longer likely to have yet another 9-11, yet we could determine there will be many tries to explode and kill human beings in busy aspects. acceptable now the terrorists are sorting out the gadget and that i can assure you, they like what they see. whether they are caught, they are going to be dealt with like celebrities and the ACLU will confirm they get all the comforts like beluga caviar and sleep huge type beds. we've a society that is apprehensive approximately gender roles. we are advised to in comparison to gender specific terminology which incorporate, "mailman or spokesman," So we arise with cumbersome trash like, "spokesperson." in the middle East, little boys are knowledgeable to combat and kill the enemy-- us. interior of america, Little boys are inspired to play with dolls and do the entire dress up concern. mum and dad get uptight while their little daughter won't play with the automobiles and dig in the sand. makeup. hand luggage, and pink outfits are being marketed in direction of adult men. We pay attention the BS approximately adult men being advised to touch their "female area" which there is no such concern. and then we ask your self why Islam laughs on the West.

Not soon enough in my opinion. Radical Islam sends the message that infidels need to die. I don't know of any other religion that endorses murder based on religious belief.

They will never realize that as long as political correctness and CAIR is around to tell us that is racist to think like that. Radical Islam has to go and we need to wake up, right now.

Seeing as we created a 42 billion dollar agency to oppose it, I hardly think we are being complacent. If anything, we over reacted to a threat that is not existential, despite what the panic mongers would have you believe.

More importantly, we face the threat from within by misguided career politicians and their ignorant constituents.

If we fix that, we can fix anything.
