Sadly these days there's not much difference. Both parties are really very corrupt. But Of the two I would pick Democrats because they are not quite as evil as the Republicans. But that doesn't mean they're ideal. 8^<
When the Democrats are in power the Republicans keep them on a short leash. When the Republicans are in power the Democrats are powerless to keep them under control. That's one reason why we do better with Democrats in control. President Clinton's terms were much better for American because the Republicans wouldn't let him get away with anything. But as you can see, even with a Democratic Congress, President Bush is completely out of control, acting more like a dictator than the elected leader of a free republic.

Maybe it's the cynicism talking, but I don't think either party has had a good set of choices for years. The last few elections, I have voted against the person I hated the most rather than trying to choose someone I liked.

Exactly the right question! I would really like better choices on each side. Although, I have to admit, Biden and Huckabee have been fairly impressive in the debates. And, on the extreme ends, Kucinich and Ron Paul have both made interesting points.

The entire country seems to only have two or three decent candidates right now. Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and Mike Gravel.

The Democrats have NOTHING but "unfortunate" candidates ! Look at what they consider their "front runners" ................ Hitlery , the egotistical , self-centered , below-average IQ , shallow , pathetic little weasel that will do or say anything while clawing her way towards the throne .
Obama .................... smarter than both a head of cabbage and Hitlery .............. but still well below the "Moron" IQ level . His main claim to fame ? As soon as his "coronation" is over , he`s going to begin nuking all of America`s allies !
